We were lucky to go to LAGOON with family and friends this year! It was so much fun. The weather was perfect, the rides were gut wrenching(make you puke rides), and the company was fun! When we entered the park Matt & Kade took off without me. Matt, knowing that I was car sick from the drive, would not want to jump on any of the rides... he was right. I hung out in the kid zone most of the time loving my sweet little Havyn (thanks Jill)!

The new ride this year is WICKED. Everyone agreed that this was the favorite! It launches you straight up, drops you straight down, and then throws you into a cork screw spin.
S I C K!
This rickety old thing was installed in 1921, almost 100 years ago! It jerks your head around and lifts you out of your seat when you drop. It is crAzY and feels so unstable.
Rattle Snake Rapids used to be Kade's favorite. But, this year when we made it over the sun was gone, the stars were shining and it was chilly. Did this stop Kade & Nicholas? NO, they went and came off soaked.

I feel bad, I took tons of photos and when I got home I can't find half of them!

Are we falling behind or caught up now?

In the busy world of a working mother I have allowed blogging to slip. So take a deep breath and dive in or just skip.
Kade is one lucky 3rd grader to have 2 teachers. 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. Being the room parent and trying to plan parties has been difficult, 2 during the morning and 2 in the afternoon. The reason for this being difficult is that I have to leave work in the middle of the afternoon to host 2 class parties where in years past they are all an hour before school lets out. It will work out and be loads of fun, I love the class parties. Briann W. has been in Kade's classes since kindergarten and she recently told her mom that she is sad she isn't in his class this year. Julie asked her why and she said it was because, 'Kade's mom does fun parties and we make neat stuff'. That made me feel so good. Sometimes you never know what they are thinking or if they even care. So Briann, THANK YOU!

Football has been so fun. Kade is really excelling in the sport. He loves playing receiver, he is a good little catcher, and runs like the wind! If only he can get it down that just because he can't see the opposing team doesn't mean he isn't open.

Since the weather is getting colder we decided we better get one last trip of fishing in so we loaded the boat and headed to Scofield. It was cold in the shade and hot in the sun. FALL in UTAH.

Umm, Kade we think you might have a fish??? HE DID

While down loading pictures I found these next 2. I asked Kade what they were for and he said that they were King Kong. If you look closely you will see a Praying Mantis climbing on one of my yard pieces.

Then apparently Kade pulled him off and took a close up. Our yard has been over taken by these creatures this year. Last year it was hornets. I think we will stick with this guys.

Ah scouts. Kade loves scouts. He loves playing with fire, building things, swimming, hiking, collecting rocks, and receiving awards. He is flying through his first book. We are so proud of him

Patriot Day... I am PROUD to be an AMERICAN

Are you proudly displaying the American Flag today?

You should be!

President George W. Bush designated September 11 to be regarded as Patriot Day.

By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation

On this first observance of Patriot Day, we remember and honor those who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We will not forget the events of that terrible morning nor will we forget how Americans responded in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania -- with heroism and selflessness; with compassion and courage; and with prayer and hope. We will always remember our collective obligation to ensure that justice is done, that freedom prevails, and that the principles upon which our Nation was founded endure.
As a mother I am so thankful that I can raise by beautiful son in a country where he can: be educated, grow up and choose an occupation for himself, worship freely, have freedom of speech, etc. We are a blessed nation, we are priviledged people. It was fought for by our forefathers and should not be taken lightly. As a priviledge nation comes great weight on our shoulders to never forget, to help those on our soil and those across the waters.

Where is Cinderella?

Growing up my brothers and I had chores around the house that we had to do. I of course was the 'picked on' one. I had: my bedroom, the kitchen, dishes after dinner and sometimes the bathroom. Imagine a princess cleaning a bathroom that 5 people used. Yes, we only had 1 bathroom! You can imagine my horror! Now you must know that my mom was always cleaning the bathroom but, on those rare occassions that it was 'my turn'. I thought I would rather eat GREEN BEANS! When I was told on Saturday mornings not to ask to play until my room was cleaned... the world fell apart. I would dump out my dresser drawers, empty my closet and then spent hours putting it all back together, nice and neat. It wasn't until years later that my mom would have been perfectly happy with the bed made, dusted and vacuumed. What a foolish little girl I was.

As the years passed and I grew older I was still the 'picked on' one. My mom would taunt me by saying, 'when you get older you will be so thankful that you know how to keep a clean home.' 'YEA RIGHT I would think. If I didn't live with pigs this house would stay clean.' Are you seeing a pattern? That I was a BRAT!!!

Well, fast forward to 1994, a new skinny bride. Happy to have my own home to love and clean. It was always so clean (except for the dreaded spare bedroom with no door). I used to pat myself on the back because you could as my mom would say,'eat off my floors'. That's right... I kept a clean house. My dad would tease and ask when the maid was coming back to clean their home (I am pretty sure he meant me). Cleanliness is next to Godliness they would say.

Well, it has been 14 1/2 years since I moved out of my parents home and began the incredible journey of managing my own household. With each passing year my house gets more cluttered, cleaned less often and we are always trying to find the missing sock. My Grandma Jones would be mortified. She used to love bringing her dear friend Teddy over and brag about how wonderful I was, what a handsome husband I have, what an amazing little boy I have and to boot... look at her home. Well sorry Grandma but, I don't know where Cinderella went. I have called, "Cinderella, Cinderella, Night and day it's Cinderella" but, that brat of a princess can't be found.
