does your home have a name?

growing up our sweet neighbors the dunn's home had a name, buttercup cottage. it is a charming home, with a beautiful covered porch that is adorned with clematis, iris', and an old church bench. going home on sundays when the weather beacons you outside the dunn's can be seen sitting on their old church bench; arms around one another, waving to passersby. i love their zest for life, their love for one another, and the name of their sweet little cottage.

i want my home to have an inviting name, a charming name, a name that says we love life, we love one another, we love our home. but, i am particular and i am struggling with a name. of course i am in a home with boys so they would be mortified if they knew that this has always been a dream of mine. my little man would crawl in a hole and beg for me to 'holy schmoly, snap out of it.' my hubby would laugh and then never bring it up again hoping that, 'if i don't say anything she will forget this conversation took place.' however, my mind is a steel trap and i don't forget easily.

so for now the house naming project lives on and on and on and on and on, you get the picture.
